Funding options
We believe postgraduate study should be accessible to everyone. That’s why we offer a range of scholarships and bursaries, both merit based and needs based, to new and returning students. This includes our £1,000 Postgraduate Access Bursary, subject-specific awards and sports scholarships.
Funding is also available through the Welsh Government and Student Finance, combining grants and loans to support your studies.
Need flexibility? We offer payment plans to spread the cost, and our dedicated Money Support Unit is here to guide you every step of the way.
Flexible learning
We have learning options that fit around your life. We offer postgraduate taught courses on both a full-time and part-time basis in most cases. We also have a selection of distance learning courses, as well as ‘blended’ courses that combine remote and face-to-face study opportunities.
Student life
Student life at Bangor is vibrant, inclusive and full of opportunities to get involved.
With over 150 clubs, societies and volunteering projects, there’s something for everyone – whether you're looking to try something new, meet like-minded people, or build your skills outside the classroom.
Our active volunteering community offers a wide range of ways to make a difference throughout the year. Combined with small class sizes and a close-knit campus, Bangor offers a friendly, supportive environment where you can truly feel at home, whether you're here for the adventure, the calm, or a bit of both.

As a postgraduate student, you’ll have access to dedicated halls of residence, living with other postgraduate students. We offer single-occupancy accommodation to suit different budgets, including standard, en-suite, studio flats and townhouses, all conveniently located within easy walking distance of both the main teaching venues and the city centre.
