The University of Strathclyde’s MSc Chemistry with Data Science will provide you with the skills necessary to develop and utilise data science so that you can solve data-intensive chemistry problems and research challenges.

• Coding (Python)
• AI and machine learning
• Software engineering and high-performance computing
• Time series analysis for chemistry
• Scientific research methods
• Computational Chemistry

You'll also study courses designed by data scientists from the Department of Computing and Information Sciences:

• Legal, Ethical and Professional Issues for the Information Society
• Big Data Technologies
• Machine Learning for Data Analytics

In addition, you'll have the opportunity to apply all this new theoretical knowledge as part of a major research project, in partnership with our expert researchers.

Scholarships

• Scholarships of £5,000 are available to eligible new international students joining a postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in September 2025
• Scholarships of £7,000 to £8,000 will be awarded on merit to eligible new international students joining a postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in September 2025
• Scholarships of £1,400 are available to new UK fee-paying students joining a postgraduate taught masters degree in the Faculty of Science in September 2025
